Clinical & Therapeutic Bodywork

Hips, Low Back, & Leg Care

Focused bodywork for the hips, low back, and legs. Make room for overworked muscles, stiffness, and connected areas, with positioning and pressure chosen together.

About this session

A session for the lower-body areas that carry you through sitting, standing, walking, work, and movement. We can focus on the low back, hips, gluteal muscles, or legs, or follow the connections among them according to what feels most relevant.

Broad massage, detailed soft-tissue work, and comfortable movement can be combined. Bolsters, side-lying, or other supported positions can help make the work accessible. We agree on the areas included and your coverage before beginning, and you can change those choices throughout.

Options for your session

Ways to shape this session.

These are possibilities, not a preset. Choose clothing, draping, and every other preference on the day, based on your comfort. You can change your mind at any point; we’ll discuss how your choices shape the session.

Every session is gender affirming. Trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people are welcome with every practitioner. We respect your name, pronouns, and the language you use for your body; you decide what you want to share.

Clothing is what stays on your body; draping is how sheets or blankets provide coverage. Mostly clothed means keeping most clothing on while allowing access to a specific area. No clothing still includes the draping we agree on.

Who this is for

  • Sitting, driving, or desk work leaves your low back and hips feeling stiff or overworked.
  • Walking, hiking, running, or long hours on your feet leave your legs asking for attention.
  • You want focused care for connected hip, low-back, and leg concerns, with extra attention to positioning and comfort.

What we may explore

  • Which lower-body areas need attention and the activities that matter to you.
  • Whether local work or attention to connected areas feels most useful.
  • Your preferences for coverage, pressure, positioning, and comfortable movement.

What the session may include

  • Broad and detailed soft-tissue work around agreed areas of the low back, hips, and legs.
  • Comfortable assisted movement or stretching where appropriate.
  • Bolsters, side-lying, or other supported positioning to accommodate your needs.

What to expect

We choose the areas to include and how you would like to be positioned and covered. The session can stay with one concern or include connected areas. You can narrow the focus, change the pressure, or stop any part of the work at any time.
