Clinical & Therapeutic Bodywork

Focused Therapeutic Bodywork

Focused massage for muscle tension, stiffness, and the demands of everyday activity. Choose the areas that need attention, with pressure and movement shaped around you.

About this session

A practical session for muscle tension, stiffness, or a part of the body that needs more attention. You might arrive with an overworked shoulder, tired legs, forearm tension, or concerns around your back and hips. You do not need an injury or a diagnosis to choose focused care.

We decide where to begin and whether surrounding areas would be useful to include. Broad contact, detailed soft-tissue work, and comfortable movement can be combined, with positioning and pressure adapted to your preferences.

Options for your session

Ways to shape this session.

These are possibilities, not a preset. Choose clothing, draping, and every other preference on the day, based on your comfort. You can change your mind at any point; we’ll discuss how your choices shape the session.

Every session is gender affirming. Trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people are welcome with every practitioner. We respect your name, pronouns, and the language you use for your body; you decide what you want to share.

Clothing is what stays on your body; draping is how sheets or blankets provide coverage. Mostly clothed means keeping most clothing on while allowing access to a specific area. No clothing still includes the draping we agree on.

Who this is for

  • Work, exercise, sitting, standing, or daily activities leave particular muscles feeling tense or overworked.
  • You want focused attention for your back, hips, shoulders, arms, legs, or another agreed area.
  • You want ongoing therapeutic care without needing to describe yourself as injured or living with persistent pain.

What we may explore

  • The areas drawing your attention and the activities that matter to you.
  • Whether one focused area or several related areas would be useful today.
  • Your preferences about pressure, positioning, coverage, and movement.

What the session may include

  • Broad contact and detailed soft-tissue work in the areas we agree on.
  • Comfortable movement or assisted stretching where appropriate.
  • Adapted positioning, including side-lying or seated work when useful.

What to expect

We start with your main concern and choose a focus together. The session can stay with one area or include related areas. Your feedback guides pressure, positioning, and movement throughout.
