Somatic & Integrative Bodywork

Supported Stillness

Steady contact, broad compression, and comfortable support, often through clothing. Explore the pressure and optional weight you enjoy, with time to rest and adjust.

About this session

A session centered on receiving support through steady contact, broad compression, gentle squeezing, and comfortable positioning. There is room to rest with substantial contact and notice what kinds of support feel welcome.

The work offers substantial contact without relying on gliding strokes. We can take time to notice which kinds of pressure feel welcome and adjust their intensity, location, and duration. Clothing can remain on, with little or no oil or lotion. Optional weight and coverings allow independent movement and easy removal.

Options for your session

Ways to shape this session.

These are possibilities, not a preset. Choose clothing, draping, and every other preference on the day, based on your comfort. You can change your mind at any point; we’ll discuss how your choices shape the session.

Every session is gender affirming. Trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people are welcome with every practitioner. We respect your name, pronouns, and the language you use for your body; you decide what you want to share.

Clothing is what stays on your body; draping is how sheets or blankets provide coverage. Mostly clothed means keeping most clothing on while allowing access to a specific area. No clothing still includes the draping we agree on.

Who this is for

  • You enjoy broad pressure or compression more than light or gliding strokes.
  • You want restful bodywork while remaining clothed, with little or no oil or lotion.
  • You want to explore receiving steady support while retaining clear choice over touch, movement, and space.

What we may explore

How different forms of physical support feel, including their intensity, location, and duration. You can explore a preference for containment while keeping clear control over contact, movement, and space.

What the session may include

  • Steady contact, broad compression, and gentle squeezing.
  • Supported positioning, quiet rest, and optional weight.
  • Gentle rocking or supported movement if you enjoy it, alternating with still contact.
  • Clothed bodywork, with coverings and weighted elements that allow independent movement and easy removal.

What to expect

There is time to try a form of support, notice how it feels, and adjust it. Choice stays active throughout. Coverings and weighted elements permit independent movement and easy removal.
