A session shaped around the person, not a protocol.

Clinical & Therapeutic Bodywork

Chest & Abdominal Care

Thoughtful attention around the chest, ribs, and abdomen, with clear choices about contact, positioning, coverage, and the areas you want included in your session.

About this session

Focused bodywork around the chest, rib cage, and abdomen, with clear agreements about the areas included and the coverage used. The session gives time to regions that may receive little attention in a general massage. Touch can be gentle, still, or more specifically focused, depending on the person and practitioner. Abdominal massage or visceral techniques may be included where appropriate and within the practitioner’s training.

Options for your session

Ways to shape this session.

These are possibilities, not a preset. Choose clothing, draping, and every other preference on the day, based on your comfort. You can change your mind at any point; we’ll discuss how your choices shape the session.

Every session is gender affirming. Trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people are welcome with every practitioner. We respect your name, pronouns, and the language you use for your body; you decide what you want to share.

Clothing is what stays on your body; draping is how sheets or blankets provide coverage. Mostly clothed means keeping most clothing on while allowing access to a specific area. No clothing still includes the draping we agree on.

Who this is for

  • They notice habitual tension around their chest, ribs, or abdomen and want those areas considered in their bodywork.
  • They are specifically seeking abdominal massage and want time to discuss comfort, boundaries, and positioning.
  • They are interested in visceral work and want to meet with a practitioner trained in that approach.

What we may explore

  • Which areas around the chest, ribs, or abdomen you would like to include.
  • What feels comfortable in the positioning, coverage, and style of touch.
  • Your interest in gentle contact, focused abdominal massage, or an approach within the practitioner’s training.

What the session may include

  • Gentle, still, or more focused contact in the areas agreed upon.
  • Abdominal massage where appropriate for the person and practitioner.
  • Visceral techniques where appropriate and within the practitioner’s training.

What to expect

We make clear agreements about the areas included, the coverage used, and your comfort with positioning and contact. The work then follows those choices, with time to discuss an area before it becomes part of the session.
